特朗普的原话是：我会在不久的将来宣布新的美联储主席人选，面试过的每个人都很优秀。问题是，一旦他们上任，就会变，而且确实会变。他们说的都是我想听的话，然后他们上任了，六年任期就这么定了，他们上任后突然就说，“让我们稍微加点利率吧。”我打电话给他们，“先生，我们不想谈这个。”真是令人惊讶，人一旦有了工作，就会发生多么大的变化。这有点不忠，很可惜，但他们必须做他们认为正确的事。我们现在的美联储主席糟透了，杰罗姆·“迟到”·鲍威尔。他总是慢人一步，尤其是在利率问题上，他更是迟钝得厉害。不过在大选之前，他倒是挺适合对方阵营的。所以我们即将迎来一位优秀的人选，希望他能胜任这份工作。
