Red Hill Minerals (ASX:RHI) said that a maiden diamond drill program at the Broken Hill project in New South Wales identified broad lead dominant broken hill type mineralisation, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.

Drilling yielded 91.1 metres at 0.1% lead and 0.3 grams per tonne grade of silver from 328 metres at the Dementus target within the project, the filing said.

This confirmed the "significant" exploration potential of the target, the filing added.

Red Hill Minerals plans to start surveys at the target in February, per the filing.

Shares of the company rose 1% in recent Thursday trade.
