新加坡拟未来五年内投入超过 10 亿新元（约合 7.86 亿美元）用于资助公共人工智能研究，以加快推动本土人工智能产业的发展。
新加坡数码发展及新闻部长杨莉明在周六该国的一次行业活动中发表讲话时称，政府此举旨在通过投资来巩固其作为人工智能研究中心的地位。这笔投资将用于设立研究中心、提升人工智能能力以及培养国家的人才储备。
“研究是我们在人工智能领域工作的关键推动因素，它有助于提升国家的深厚技术实力，并确保新加坡始终处于人工智能创新的前沿位置。”杨莉明所在的部门在一份声明中表示。
