尽管预计未来几个月将迎来特朗普任命的新美联储主席，但接受一家美国知名财经媒体调查的受访者仅预测未来两年基金利率会有适度变化。
调查结果与美联储基金期货市场的定价一致，显示无论是华尔街还是经济预测人士，都不认为新任美联储主席会将隔夜利率降至总统要求的低水平。
调查显示，平均预期是今年再降息两次，每次25个基点，总计50个基点，而2027年预计不会降息。
预计基金利率将在今年稳定在3%左右，并一直维持到2027年。特朗普总统目前正在考虑提名谁来取代美联储主席杰罗姆·鲍威尔，他曾表示美国利率应处于世界最低水平，并要求美联储将利率降至1%。
该调查报告指出，考虑到2%的通胀率，特朗普实质上是在要求实现负实际利率。
