据知情人士透露，印度和欧盟有关部门正准备宣布一项协议，允许欧盟银行通过印度主权债券清算所处理交易，从而解决这场影响债券交易的持续数年的争端。
上述知情人士表示，欧盟金融市场监管机构——欧洲证券和市场管理局（ESMA）已同意认可印度清算公司（CCIL）为欧盟银行的合法清算机构。
他们指出，欧盟银行将可通过印度官方的政府债券清算机构CCIL，顺畅开展债券及衍生品交易。
知情人士补充称，此次争端有望得到解决，得益于印度与欧盟贸易协定谈判取得的进展。
受该争端影响的金融机构包括德意志银行（Deutsche Bank）、法国巴黎银行（BNP Paribas）、法国兴业银行（Société Generale）以及法国农业信贷银行（Credit Agricole）。
媒体在非工作时间向ESMA发送邮件并致电，同时向印度储备银行（RBI）发送邮件寻求置评，但截至发稿均未立即收到回复。
