Delek's Big Spring, Texas refinery reports emissions due to equipment faults amid cold weather

Jan 26 (Reuters) - Delek's DK.N Big Spring, Texas refinery, with a capacity of 73,000 barrels per day, reported emissions caused by process equipment faults due to extreme low ambient temperatures, the company told the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality on Monday.

The incident, which led to exceeding the SO2 reportable quantity limit, originated from the facility's North Flare and SRU 2 units. The company said it is making operational adjustments to minimize emissions as much as possible.
