道富投资管理公司高级固收策略师Masahiko Loo称，市场将162视为日元兑美元汇率的一道关键防线，若出现联合干预，日本央行可能提前下一次加息的时机。
“从历史经验来看，财务省检查汇率是采取行动的前奏，”Loo表示。“如果政府不采取后续行动，将会助长投机压力，市场会通过进一步打压日元来试探官方的决心”。
“撇开时机不谈，市场对‘红线’的看法很明确：162，即上次干预的水平”。
日本外汇事务负责人三村淳表示，“无意”回应有关官员们上周五进行了汇率检查的市场传言。
如果当局实施联合汇市干预，日本央行在3月或4月加息的可能性将大幅上升。
美国财政部的任何支持都可能以日本央行提早加息和持续推进政策正常化为条件，同时强化美国国债作为日本核心长期储备资产的地位。
