ASX Midday Sector Update: Energy Stocks Soar, Information Technology Stocks Inch Down

The energy sector jumped over 1% in midday Tuesday, amid a fall in oil prices after a winter storm struck US national crude production over the weekend.
Santos (ASX:STO) said that the first liquified natural gas (LNG) cargo from Barossa LNG, the company's offshore gas and condensate project in the Northern Territory, has been loaded onto Kool Blizzard.
On the flip side, the information technology sector, the only sector trading in the red on the Australian Stock Exchange, fell 0.3%.
Elsight (ASX:ELS) reported revenue of around $9.3 million in the fourth quarter of 2025, bringing cumulative 2025 revenue to around $22.8 million.
