St Barbara (ASX:SBM) reported gold production of 9,057 ounces at an all-in sustaining cost (AISC) of AU$6,518 per ounce at its Simberi operations in Papua New Guinea during the quarter ended Dec. 31, 2025, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.
The company produced 10,262 ounces of gold at an AISC of AU$5,916 per ounce in the same period last year.
The company reaffirmed its fiscal year guidance range of 54,000 to 70,000 ounces at an AISC of between AU$4,000 and AU$4,400 per ounce.
However, with this quarter's production result, Simberi is now expected to deliver annual production within the bottom half of the guidance and AISC within the upper half of the guidance.
Shares rose more than 4% in morning trade on Wednesday and earlier reached their highest since July 2021.
