Canyon Resources (ASX:CAY) continued to progress its Minim Martap project development in Cameroon in the quarter ended Dec. 31, 2025, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.

Contractors brought in extra equipment to prevent delays in the construction of the ore haulage access road, keeping it on schedule for completion in the first quarter of the year, the filing said.

Surface mining equipment remained on schedule to arrive on site following the arrival of the surface miner in December 2025, with the locomotives and wagons to be delivered to the project in the second quarter.

The company expects the start of mine production in February and the first bauxite shipment in the middle of the year, per the filing.

Shares fell 7% in afternoon trade on Tuesday.
