据知情人士透露，软银正在商谈向 OpenAI 追加投资至多300亿美元，这将使这家日本企业集团在这家AI初创公司的持股比例进一步增加。
此前有报道称，OpenAI正寻求从投资者那里筹集高达 1000 亿美元的新资金，如果成功筹集到全部资金，该公司的估值可能达到 8300 亿美元。目前交易谈判仍在进行中，条款仍有可能发生变化。
软银已经是OpenAI最大的股东之一，去年12月，软银投资225亿美元，将其在OpenAI的持股比例增至11%。当时，软银董事长孙正义在一份声明中表示，该公司“与OpenAI的愿景高度契合”。
孙正义还说，为了筹集资金投资OpenAI，软银不得不以 58 亿美元的价格出售了其持有的英伟达的股份。
OpenAI 需要大量资金来继续开发其人工智能模型，满足其庞大的计算需求，并在竞争日益激烈的市场中留住顶尖研究人员。
据报道，OpenAI正在考虑进行首次公开募股（IPO），并计划从中东主权财富基金和其他风险投资基金筹集资金。该公司现有投资者包括Thrive Capital、Khosla Ventures和阿联酋基金MGX。
