0706 GMT - ASML Holding's fourth-quarter orders are comfortably ahead of even the highest expectations, Citi analysts write in a note to clients. The Dutch chip-making equipment supplier booked 13.16 billion euros in orders, smashing a Visible Alpha forecast of 6.95 billion euros. Bookings of ASML's extreme ultraviolet lithography systems came in at 7.4 billion euros, above a Visible Alpha forecast of 4.41 billion euros. "Expectations had been rising into ASML's release, driven by customer and peer announcements, but they have handily beaten even the highest ask," the analysts say. (mauro.orru@wsj.com)
