Hong Leong Asia Subsidiary Applies for Hong Kong Listing; Shares Up 4%

Guangxi Yuchai Marine and Genset Power, an indirect subsidiary of China Yuchai International, which is 48.7% owned by Hong Leong Asia (SGX:H22) applied to list its shares on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, according to a Tuesday filing with the Singapore Exchange.

Shares of the manufacturer and distributor of powertrain solutions were up nearly 4% in Wednesday trading.

The company also made an application to the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading in relation to the proposed spinoff.

The listing plan is subject to approvals from relevant authorities, the filing added.
