0839 GMT - Yields on U.K. government bonds rise after the British Retail Consortium's shop price index advanced an annual 1.5% in January, from a 0.7% rise in December. The sharp increase reignites concerns about elevated U.K. inflation which could reduce the prospect of the Bank of England cutting interest rates in the coming months. Ten-year gilt yields rise 1 basis point to last trade at 4.504%, Tradeweb data show. (miriam.mukuru@wsj.com)
