2204 GMT - Australia's S&P/ASX 200 is poised to open higher after a long weekend, fueled by gains on Wall Street and in precious-metal prices. ASX futures are up by 0.4%, signaling the benchmark index will build on two consecutive gains at the end of last week. In U.S. markets, the three major benchmarks rose on the day, led by the Dow Jones Industrial Average, while gold settled at a new record high after topping $5,000/oz for the first time.
