Chorus (ASX:CNU, NZE:CNU) said that in its fiber areas, total fiber broadband connections rose by about 7,000 lines to 1.1 million connections during the quarter ended Dec. 31, 2025, according to a Friday filing with the Australian and New Zealand bourses.
This offsets a decline of 6,000 copper broadband lines, per the filing.
For the December 2024 quarter, total fiber broadband connections rose by about 6,000 lines to 1.1 million connections, offsetting a decline of 4,000 copper broadband lines, an earlier filing showed.
The company said it has 3,000 copper lines in service in its fiber areas, and expects to retire them by mid-year.
