RTX's Raytheon missiles business got a $1.03 billion contract to build air and missile defense systems for the U.S. Army.

The defense company will produce lower tier air and missile defense sensors, with work due to be completed on March 31, 2030, the Army said Thursday.

The contract is part of an award it got in July 2024, which was a fixed-price-incentive agreement of $2.09 billion.

The new addition to the contract adds two more years to the work timeline.
