荷兰养老基金PME表示，由于不满美国现行政策的走向，未来将把投资重心更多地转向欧洲，特别是科技领域。
PME主席Alae Laghrich在周四的一份声明中表示，美国“不再是那个曾经可靠的盟友”。他列举了特朗普政府的关税政策，及其所谓的“威胁和不履行现有协议”的行为。
Laghrich承认美国经济不容忽视，但他表示，当前的政治气候意味着PME 转向投资欧洲是明智之举。PME管理着约600亿欧元（约合 718 亿美元）的资产。Laghrich称，其目标“不仅是为了投资回报，也是为了保护那些塑造未来的人才，要将他们留在荷兰和欧洲境内，并提高经济、技术及工业的独立性与韧性”。
金融市场猜测，由于白宫的政策决策，欧洲基金可能会选择减持美国资产。根据美国财政部的数据，欧盟持有的美国资产总额超过10万亿美元。
PME已经削减部分对美敞口。去年，该基金宣布结束与贝莱德的合作，理由是经评估认为这家全球最大的资产管理公司在气候风险等问题上不再符合PME的最佳利益。这一决定导致PME从贝莱德撤回了50亿欧元的股票投资委托。
