Gold Miners' Shares Mixed as Prices Ease Amid Geopolitical Tensions

Shares of Evolution Mining (ASX:EVN) and Newmont (ASX:NEM) fell around 1% and 3% respectively, in Friday's trade, as gold prices eased after hitting record highs, though the metal remains on track for its strongest monthly gains since the 1980s amid ongoing economic and geopolitical uncertainty.

Northern Star Resources (ASX:NST) inched up, earlier hitting an all-time high.

Spot gold fell 1.3% to $5,330.20 per ounce, reversing earlier gains after hitting a record high of $5,594.82.
