Publicis Will Need More Than Good Results to Brush Aside AI Fears -- Market Talk

1236 GMT - Publicis Groupe is expected to post positive results next week, but shaking off investors' fears about AI will take more than a solid earnings report, Bank of America analysts say in a research note. The French advertising group is expected to report organic net revenue growth of 5.6% for the fourth quarter, and to guide for growth of 4% to 5% in the year ahead, according to BofA. "We are cognizant that the key lesson from recent earnings for companies bucketed as at risk from AI is that it takes more than an in line print to flip sentiment," the analysts say. "While we see limited scope for big positive surprises, we are confident earnings and FY26 outlook will disprove the structural bear case." Shares fall 1.6%. (adria.calatayud@wsj.com)
