0913 GMT - CaixaBank shares gain 4.4% after the Spanish bank reported fourth-quarter profit that beat expectations, issued 2026 guidance in line with views and updated its 2027 targets. "We expect the focus of today's call to be on the assumptions that underpin the bank's upgraded medium-term guidance," RBC Capital Markets analyst Pablo de la Torre Cuevas writes, pointing to the new net interest income target for 2027 in particular. The lender didn't announce the share buyback that the market had been expecting, which could be because of the level of completion of the ongoing program, he adds. (elena.vardon@wsj.com)
