Genesis Minerals (ASX:GMD) said its Chief Operating Officer, Matthew Nixon, was appointed as its Chief Executive Officer and its Managing Director, Raleigh Finlayson, was appointed as its Executive Chair, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.
Finlayson will succeed nonexecutive chairman Tony Kiernan, who will remain on the board as lead independent director.
The firm's shares rose 1% in recent trading on Thursday.
