　　共和党参议员Thom Tillis表示，在司法部对现任美联储主席杰罗姆·鲍威尔的调查得到解决前，他将继续反对任何美联储提名人选的确认。

　　Tillis在X平台发文称，凯文·沃什是深谙货币政策的合格提名人选。

　　“然而，司法部仍以委员会证词为依据，对杰罗姆·鲍威尔主席展开刑事调查，而该证词内容任何理性人士都无法解读为存在犯罪意图。”

　　“保护美联储独立性免受政治干预或法律胁迫，是不可妥协的原则。”
