Alphabet's (GOOGL, GOOG) Google said Wednesday it rolled out new artificial intelligence integrations into Gemini in Chrome to improve multitasking, productivity, and web browsing experience for users.
The company launched a new feature called auto browse on Chrome that can open websites and oversee multistep chores on a user's behalf, the company said.
The feature, available to AI Pro and Ultra subscribers in the US, will let users ask the assistant for help with chores like shopping or vacation planning and will use Google Password Manager to sign into websites, according to a statement.
Google is also integrating the Nano Banana image generation tool into Chrome. The company added that it developed Gemini in Chrome with new defenses to safeguard users, like preventing auto browse from making final decisions, such as placing an order, without user confirmation.
