消息面上，1月29日，比特币价格两个月来首次跌破8.5万美元关口，盘中一度大跌6.8%，最低触及83,240美元，为去年11月21日以来最低水平。以太坊、狗狗币、卡尔达诺和索拉纳均下挫至少7%。1月30日，比特币继续向下逼近81000美元，日内跌超4%。
Ergonia业务发展主管Chris Newhouse指出，当天的疲软走势凸显了加密资产在市场中的定位，其往往是传统风险资产的“杠杆放大器”。随着科技股持续承压，数字资产市场进一步放大了整体抛售的情绪。同时，过度加杠杆的多头仓位遭到清洗，形成机械性抛售压力，使原本脆弱的市场更加承压。
