Federal Reserve governor Stephen Miran resigned Tuesday from his position as chair of the Council of Economic Advisers, a White House official said.
Miran has been on leave from the White House position since joining the Fed in September. He will continue to serve on the Fed until a replacement is confirmed.
Miran declined to comment.
