Archer-Daniels-Midland's Guidance Weighs on Stock -- Market Talk
Dow Jones
Feb 03
1028 ET - Archer-Daniels-Midland's outlook was disappointing, according to JPMorgan in a note. Analysts Thomas Palmer and Elsa Evans say that based on conversations and the stock's appreciation so far this year, they were expecting a 2026 EPS guide of $5 given improving industry crush margins versus the $3.60-$4.25 range the company reported. For the crushing segment the analysts say ADM indicated that the low end of guidance assumes crush margins are flat year-over-year, whereas the high end assumes crush margin expansion, manufacturing efficiencies, and better demand. Archer-Daniels-Midland is off 1%.(connor.hart@wsj.com)
