Yancoal Australia Shares Climb Nearly 8% as China Grows Thermal Power Capacity

Yancoal Australia's (ASX:YAL) shares advanced nearly 8% in recent trading on the Australian bourse on Wednesday as a report by the Centre for Research on Energy and Clean Air noted that 77.5 gigawatts of thermal power capacity over the first eleven months of 2025, a 63% increase year-over-year.
Chinaʼs coal imports increased by 11.9% year-over-year in December 2025. The addition of coal-powered stations accelerated in Guangdong, Jiangsu, and Gansu.
