0943 GMT - Bellway is seen as a top pick for investors seeking value in the U.K. housing market, as its conservative land-buying strategy and experienced leadership offer a relatively safe path through the current downturn, Jefferies analysts say in a note. The house builder trades at a significant discount to its tangible net asset value with its resilience underpinned by its recent activity in the land market, Jefferies says. "We believe its land buying through the past two years positions it not just to better manage its cash near term but also to grow into market improvements when they are seen," Jefferies says. Shares rise 0.2% to 2,744 pence and are up 6.2% over the past 12 months. (anthony.orunagoriainoff@dowjones.com)
