Zurich's Deal for Beazley Should Go Through After Improved Bid -- Market Talk

0741 GMT - Any impediments to Zurich Insurance's improved bid for Beazley going through should be small, MKI Global Partners says in a note to clients. The Swiss insurer and the U.K. cyber insurer agreed in principle on a sweetened 8.0 billion pound offer, having cleared hurdles on price after several rejected bids. "It has always felt that this was one where the bid ask was bridgeable and a 4% improvement has been sufficient," analysts say. The risks now seem low in terms of a potential competing offer and threats to closing, they add. (elena.vardon@wsj.com)
