路透2月4日 - 联合太平洋铁路公司UNP.N和机车零部件制造商WabtecWAB.N周三表示，双方签署了一项价值12亿美元的协议，对该公司的AC4400机车进行现代化改造。
该协议被两家公司称为 "铁路行业历史上最大的机车现代化投资"，旨在从2027年开始 交付。
