通用汽车韩国公司周二表示，其今年的目标是生产 50 万辆汽车，以满足不断增长的海外需求，尤其是来自美国市场的需求。
该目标意味着通用韩国的产量将比去年的 460826 辆增加 8.5%。尽管此前有传言称，由于美国进口关税提高，这家汽车制造商可能会缩减或退出在韩国的业务。
通用汽车韩国公司的汽车销量从 2019 年的 409830 辆骤降至 2021 年的 223623 辆，这主要是受新冠疫情的影响所致。2023 年销量回升至 464648 辆，2024 年则达到 499000 辆。
该公司表示，计划通过充分利用其富平和昌原工厂的产能，专注于生产雪佛兰Trax跨界车以及雪佛兰拓荒者紧凑型运动型多用途车（SUV）。
该公司发言人表示：“母公司通用汽车公司近期要求通用韩国公司全力运营这两家工厂，以生产 50 万辆汽车。”
