RBA Set to Move to Trap the Inflation Genie Again -- Market Talk

0323 GMT - The case for the Reserve Bank of Australia to start unwinding the interest-rate cuts it delivered in 2025 has been building since Gov. Michele Bullock signaled her concerns about rising inflation at the end of last year. Inflation outcomes have only disappointed over the last two quarters and there's plenty of evidence to suggest the economy is growing solidly. The RBA will almost certainly raise interest rates Tuesday, and classify it as a policy tweak to bring inflation back into band. The central bank could keep open the option of a May increase too. Bullock won't risk letting the inflation genie free again.(james.glynn@wsj.com; X @JamesGlynnWSJ)
