Akzo Nobel's Weak 2025 Could Trouble Investors -- Market Talk

Dow Jones

0726 GMT - Akzo Nobel's share price could take a slight hit from 2025 results that showed drops in revenue and earnings, analysts at Jefferies write in a note to clients. The Dutch paint maker said currency effects were largely to blame for a 9% drop in revenue over the course of the year's last quarter. Akzo Nobel also booked a 4% slide in adjusted operating earnings in the same period. The results came in below company and analyst expectations, and took the company's top and bottom lines lower on year. "We expect slight share-price pressure on the result," Jefferies says. The investment bank has a hold rating and a 59 euro target price on the stock. (joshua.kirby@wsj.com; @joshualeokirby)
