Verizon Making Progress on Turnaround -- Market Talk

Dow Jones
Feb 04

1158 ET - Verizon Chief Executive Dan Schulman is delivering results through his transformation efforts, say JPMorgan analysts, who raise their price target to $49 from $47. The company logged its best phone adds in six years despite slightly higher churn, which should improve in the second half of this year due to investments in the customer experience and convergence. Verizon's promises to remain fiscally responsible without increasing promotions also spark confidence, the analysts say. "That said, while we like the improved focus and emphasis on convergence, we remain on the sidelines given limited near-term catalysts and continued turnaround/growth questions," the analysts say.
