Communications-services slipped after Walt Disney tempered enthusiasm about its earnings prospects.
Disney's streaming profit surged in the December quarter but shares fell after executives at the entertainment conglomerate warned that growth in the current quarter would be muted, partly because of higher costs for sports rights as well as theme-park and cruise-line expansions.
