特朗普发文称与印度总理莫迪通话，双方谈及贸易协议以及结束俄乌冲突。特朗普称，莫迪同意停止购买俄罗斯石油，并大幅增加从美国以及可能从委内瑞拉购买的石油；美印双方立即达成了一项美印贸易协议。根据该协议，美国将降低对等关税，从25%降至18%。印度也将着手将对美国的关税和非关税壁垒降至零。特朗普称，莫迪还承诺大幅提高“购买美国货”的力度，并承诺向印度提供超过5000亿美元的美国能源、技术、农产品、煤炭及其他众多产品。
