加拿大工业部长梅拉妮·乔利周二表示，加拿大估计，在Stellantis和通用汽车缩减在加拿大的生产后，官员们将寻求从这两家公司追讨“数亿美元“资金。

　　她对记者表示，将在未来几天提供更多细节。至少从11月以来，加拿大官员和Stellantis的代表一直在进行谈判，此前这家汽车制造商表示，将把Jeep Compass的生产从安大略省布兰普顿的一家工厂转移到伊利诺伊州。本十年初期，加拿大向该汽车制造商提供了略高于10亿加元（相当于7.31亿美元）的资金，用于改造布兰普顿工厂和维持在加拿大的生产。

　　“我们的很多支持都与产量挂钩，因此，如果没有生产，显然也就没有资金，“乔利在一次内阁会议前说。她此前曾威胁要起诉Stellantis，以追回纳税人的钱。

　　上周，乔利表示，她还将向通用汽车追讨资金，此前这家总部位于底特律的公司于上周实施了取消其安大略省奥沙瓦工厂第三个班次的计划。去年10月，通用汽车还表示，由于需求疲软，将不会恢复安大略省英格索尔（Ingersoll）工厂一款电动货车的生产。当时，乔利表示，她将向通用汽车追讨渥太华方面为英格索尔工厂提供的约2.6亿加元。
