--Second-quarter operating profit in the game business fell 13% to Y120.35 billion due to impairment losses and development expenses, despite higher revenue from software sales and network services. Investors will be closely monitoring performance in Sony's key segment.
--Sony said in December it was taking a majority stake in the company that owns the iconic Snoopy and Charlie Brown characters as it expands its entertainment business. Investors will be looking for updates on the company's entertainment strategy.
