China International Capital Unit to Issue $1.4 Billion Notes

China International Capital (HKG:3908) said its unit CICC Hong Kong Finance 2016 MTN was looking to issue $1.4 billion in debt, according to a Hong Kong bourse filing Friday.
The debt will be issued via two separate bonds: $550 million notes that mature around Feb. 12, 2028, and $850 million notes that mature around Feb. 12, 2029.
The 2028 notes pay a floating interest rate tied to the SOFR Compounded Index, plus an additional 0.48% a year.
The 2029 notes also pay a floating interest rate tied to the SOFR Compounded Index, plus an additional 0.53% a year.
Funds raised will be used to repay the company's existing debts.
