St George Mining (ASX:SGQ) said drilling at its Araxa Rare Earths and Niobium project in Brazil confirms intersected thick, high-grade mineralisation from all 10 holes starting from the surface, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.

Drilling yielded 135.2 meters at 3.37% total rare earth oxides and 0.58% niobium pentoxide from the surface, the filing said.

The results highlight the potential for a very large increase in the volume of the resource at the project, the filing added.
