汇丰控股准备向一些银行家发放极少奖金，甚至不排除奖金为零的情况。这家拥有160年历史的英国银行寻求向华尔街的竞争对手看齐，采取奖惩更加分明的“多劳多得”立场。

　　据知情人士称，该行打算在未来几周发完奖金后，鼓励投资银行和财富管理等部门绩效落后的员工离职。部分知情人士表示，这其中也包括董事总经理级别的员工，不过目前尚无最终决定。

　　“我们致力于确保员工获得具有竞争力的薪酬，重点是根据绩效提供差异化薪酬，以吸引和留住人才，”该行一位代表在电邮中表示。
