BrainAurora Medical Technology (HKG:6681) completed a top-up placing of 92 million shares at HK$5.60 each, involving the sale of existing shares and an equal subscription of new shares, raising net proceeds of about HK$500.7 million, according to a Thursday Hong Kong bourse filing.
The shares were placed with at least six independent investors, and none became a substantial shareholder following completion.
Proceeds will be used for research and development, domestic and overseas market expansion, strategic investments and acquisitions, and general working capital.
Separately, the company said it entered into a strategic cooperation agreement with DODR Technology to expand into Malaysia and deepen its presence in Southeast Asia.
The partnership will focus on localization, clinical trials, laboratory construction, and commercialization of the group's cognitive impairment digital therapeutics products in Malaysia, with plans to extend cooperation to Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam.
