Major digital assets rose Friday, with Bitcoin (BTC-USD) topping $70,000.
The CoinDesk Market Index, which tracks dozens of digital assets including Bitcoin, rose 9.6% in the past 24 hours. The Nasdaq 100 rose 2%, the S&P 500 climbed 2.2%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average increased 2.6%.
Bitcoin surged 12.3% to $70,394, according to CoinMarketCap data. The most popular cryptocurrency's 24-hour trading volume rose 11.3% to $127.04 billion.
Ethereum (ETH-USD), the second-largest digital asset by market value, climbed 12.6% to $2,069.
XRP (XRP-USD) rose 23.8%, BNB (BNB-USD) gained 6.1%, and Solana (SOL-USD) added 11.4%. Dogecoin (DOGE-USD) advanced 11.2%, while Cardano (ADA-USD) rose 11.2%.
The US 10-year Treasury yield stood at 4.204% at 3 p.m. ET Friday, down from 4.208% Thursday.
The total market value of the cryptocurrency industry advanced 9.5% in the past 24 hours to $2.39 trillion, with trading volume gaining 12.2% to $144.61 billion.
