CMS Energy's board has raised the utility holding company's quarterly dividend by 5.1%, to 57 cents from 54.25 cents.
The new payout, equal to $2.28 a year, represents an annual yield of about 3.18% based on Wednesday's closing price of $71.60, up from 3.03%.
The Jackson, Mich., company on Thursday said the increased dividend is payable Feb. 27 to shareholders of record Feb. 17.
