Shares of Open Text climbed Friday after the company reported better-than-expected revenue, driven by its content management cloud business.
Shares trading in Toronto were 4.6% higher at 32.66 Canadian dollars ($23.82).
The Canadian enterprise-software company late Thursday reported revenue that fell slightly, down by 0.6% at $1.33 billion. Revenue came in ahead of expectations, with Wall Street anticipating a decline to $1.3 billion, according to FactSet.
Cloud revenues rose 3.4% to $478 million, while enterprise cloud bookings rose 18% to $295 million.
Annual recurring revenues were $1.06 billion, up 0.7%.
Net income fell to $168 million or 66 cents a share, compared with $230 million or 87 cents a share a year earlier.
On an adjusted basis, earnings were $1.13 a share, topping expectations of $1.03.
