Ashoka Buildcon (NSE:ASHOKA, BOM:533271) said its joint venture with Aakshya Infra Project has received a letter of acceptance for a bridge construction project in Muzaffarpur district, Bihar, India, according to a Friday filing.
The project involves building a 2,280-metre high-level reinforced concrete bridge over the River Gandak along with other major bridges on the approach road between Fatehabad (Paroo block) and Chanchaliya (Saraiya block), the filing said.
The contract has been awarded by Bihar Rajya Pul Nirman Nigam at an accepted bid value of 4.74 billion rupees, including tax. Ashoka Buildcon holds a 51% stake in the joint venture as the lead partner, and thus has a share of 2.42 billion rupees, according to the filing.
The project is to be completed within 30 months.
