加密货币交易所Gemini Space Station Inc．表示其计划裁员至多25%，逐步停止在英国、欧盟和澳大利亚的业务，以削减成本、提升盈利能力战略。

　　这家总部位于纽约的加密货币交易所周四在公告中称，此次裁员将影响其全球多达200个岗位，其中包括美国和新加坡的员工。

　　“出于多种原因，这些海外市场已被证明难以攻克，而组织和运营复杂性使公司资源吃紧，推高了成本结构，拖慢了发展速度，”Gemini联合创始人Tyler Winklevoss和Cameron Winklevoss在博客文章中表示。

　　这一消息传出之际，加密货币市场继续下挫，比特币跌破7万美元，触及2024年11月以来最低。Gemini未把价格下跌归结为原因之一，但数月来比特币的大幅下跌已对整个行业内的公司造成影响。

　　Gemini股价一度下跌7.8%。

　　Gemini在周四早些时候发布的支持通知中表示，自3月5日起，英国、欧盟和澳大利亚的所有客户账户将调整为仅供提取模式，一个月后全面关闭。这些地区的新开账户以及所有奖励计划也将被禁用。
