Shares of CDW Corp. rose after the technology company logged higher profit and revenue in its fourth quarter.
The stock gained 7.4%, to $135.50, Wednesday morning. The shares have retreated 32% in the past year.
The Vernon Hills, Ill., company posted a fourth-quarter net income of $279.5 million, or $2.14 a share, compared with $264.2 million, or $1.97 per share, in the same period a year earlier.
Adjusted earnings came in at $2.57 cents a share. Analysts polled by FactSet expected $2.37 a share.
Sales rose 6.3%, to $5.51 billion, exceeding Wall Street's expectations of $5.33 billion, according to FactSet.
