British American Tobacco's Growth Boosted By U.S. Performance -- Market Talk
Dow Jones
Feb 12
0835 GMT - British American Tobacco's 2025 results were boosted by its performance in the U.S., where revenue grew 5.5%, RBC Europe analysts James Edwardes Jones and Wassachon (Fon) Udomsilpa write in a note. New categories products, which include vapor/heated products and oral pouches, are generating improved volume performance, but the analysts say they are concerned by the margin drag that will result. Overall, the London-listed cigarette maker's 2025 results are in line with company-compiled consensus expectations, as are its 2026 revenue and adjusted operating profit growth guidance, they add. Shares are up 0.3% at 44.41 pounds. (cristina.gallardo@wsj.com)
